Live singing is a special treat for you and your guests. It helps make your civil marriage service
more personal, memorable and romantic. Music is said to be the universal language of mankind and
wedding singing certainly presents the opportunity to bring all your guests together to capture the
moment.
To entertain your guests during the signing of the register

To add character to the ceremony & create a special memory As a surprise gift to your guests To create a sense of occasion & an atmosphere of celebration!
In the UK, a civil registrar wedding ceremony cannot include hymns, religious songs, religious readings or
prayers. In fact, it is against the law to perform religious music during a civil wedding service. Please
note that for civil weddings, song choices should be agreed with your registrar in advance.
PLACES IN THE CEREMONY WHERE YOUR WEDDING SINGER COULD SING:
At the start of the wedding to set the scene
For the arrival of the bride During a candle lighting ceremony
During the signing of the registry While the bride and groom exit

A beautiful song sung by a professionally trained Wedding Singer, helps to make the day even more
special and I have an extensive selection of songs available. Advice on the ‘Wedding Singer’
repertoire is included in the fee for singing, but to take a look at my recommendations see the Wedding Singer
repertoire pages.
Please ask me if there is something specific you are looking for that you can't find on my website
and I will do my best to help.
Church wedding ceremonies have declined in popularity in recent years in favour of the more
popular civil weddings.
A civil registrar marriage ceremony is a non-religious legal marriage ceremony performed by a
government official or functionary. In the UK, this person is normally called a registrar.
The marriage must take place at a registered or licensed venue to be legally valid.
Many wonderful private premises are licensed to hold civil ceremonies.
